Among the strangest of Orruk warclans, at least in the realm of Hysh, are Mork’s Mad-Eyez. These fanatics, Kruleboyz in the main, flock to the banner of a Swampcalla Shaman named Mugruk Da Watcha; but not all callers are acceptable for his gang. Mugruk and his lieutenants only allow in those especially called by Mork, having been marked by the loss of at least one eye.
One would think that such extreme prerequisites might drive away most comers, but in this case the requirements have given the Mad-Eyez a reputation not unlike that of an exclusive club! Kruleboyz across Ymetrica and beyond find themselves in a secret hope, that an accident or a friendly scrap or a proper battle will cost them an eye so that they can present themselves to Mugruk. For Mad-Eyez are held among the elite of greenskins, not only for combative expertise but for the apparent esteem they are held in by their god. It’s said that, once accepted into the gang and properly blessed by Mugruk, the empty eye socket of a Mad-Eye becomes a receptacle for otherworldly vision, as if seen through the very eyes of Mork (or possibly Gork). In addition, the light of Hysh becomes a dimmer and less irritating thing for these orruks. Granted, your average orruk doesn’t despise “Frazzlegit” the way a Moonclan Grot does, but aetheric radiation of aelvish enlightenment and magic is annoying at the best of times.
Such is the litmus test of Mugruk that those who fake an eye injury, or even remove an eye deliberately, are apparently given the direst of consequences when their heads explode.
Kruleboyz being what they are, there is the possibility that this is all an elaborate scam to deceive their fellow greenskins and prop up Mugruk and Krazee-Eyez, his top Killaboss. This is well within the realm of possibility. But their record on the battlefield and the number of successful raids upon Lumineth Paradises tells us that there may be more to Mork’s Mad-Eyez than your average Kruleboyz mob.
